Harp

Name: Lee Ji-yoong
Birthday: June 3, 2001
Role: support

Harp’s career started at age 18, in the amateur tournament, the KeG Championship. Coincidentally, this is the same tournament Aria debuted exactly a year before him. Harp was a hyped prospect and gained a lot of eyes in the Challengers scene for his aggressive playstyle, mainly on Thresh and Sett. He joined KT’s Challengers team the next year, and because of the main team’s struggle, he was eventually called up to play in the LCK 2021 Summer Split. In his first match, the underdog KT won 2-0 against the reigning world champions, Damwon, with Harp having the highest KDA among all the players in the series. While this was an amazing debut, unfortunately the team was inconsistent throughout the split, and eventually the bot lane got subbed out towards the end of the season.
After his KT days, he started playing for DFM since 2022. Things didn’t immediately click in his new team though, there were some growing pains after the 2021 superteam’s rebuild, but eventually Harp found his style, and coming into 2023, he gained back his aggression that his older fans have gotten used to.
The young support now already speaks fluent Japanese, has immaculate synergy with his lane partner, but maybe most importantly, he learnt the most essential part of being a DFM member, he’s already a troll.

Running storylines with Harp

As described on DFM’s site as well, Harp is a very “global player”, having lived abroad as a student, having interests in other cultures, and already speaking fluent Japanese just after one and a half years of playing for DFM. In the last fan meet before departing to London, Steal didn’t need to translate anymore throughout the whole program.

Harp was more shy when he joined DFM, but still describing the atmosphere as fun. Under Steal’s wings though, he very quickly adapted to the memes, and at Worlds 2022 he already trolled Evi the same way everyone else did.

Harp is now a core part of the team, both inside and outside the Rift. He’s a true support no matter the circumstances, even supporting his drunk teammates. He takes part in team activities all the time (like going out to play soccer at 2am) and wants the best for his team. Even when he strained his neck, and was unable to play for 2 games, he insisted he wants to play for the final game of the series, and in the end won, while on painkillers.
